Happy New Year
Stay positive

Howdy!
In this issue: a thought on shifting perspective, a $1 trillion health issue and celebrating one whole year of email sends.
The glass is definitely halfway full
The last three years I’ve picked a word to embody the year. In 2024 it was love, 2025 was balance and 2026 is positivity.
Positive is one of those words that lives very close to it’s antonym Negative.
There is always one side to pick on a point of view, so this year I’ll do my darndest to focus on the positive one.
I can apply this from relationships to work to my perspective on sports teams (0-3 postseasons for Braves, Auburn and Georgia Tech football this year, pain).
A positive attitude is one of the few things we can completely control, so cheers to this year seeing the bright side of our situations.
What Else is Taking Up My Attention
👩🏻🎤 End of an Era
As a self proclaimed Swiftie, I highly recommend you watch the new docuseries diving into the team and logistics that powered her 632-day Eras Tour run. It’s centered on T Swift, but they nailed spotlighting the amazing people around her.
🚙 Nobody is in the Driver’s Seat
After being away from Atlanta for 5 months and coming back for the holidays, the only major change I noticed was how many Waymo’s are around downtown Atlanta. The time I counted it was 1 in 10 cars on the street, I still need to hop in one!
Read neurosurgeon and VC Dr. John Slotkin’s recent essay on the public health imperative over the next decade to expand autonomous vehicles. Data below is from 100 million driverless miles in 4 US cities through June 2025.
💸 2026 Cash Allocation
Part of the balance approach for 2025 was saving as much as possible and investing in low risk, stable opportunities. This year my “thesis” will be buying more NVDIA, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B) and putting more into a Schwab Intelligent Portfolio.
One Year Staub Friends Anniversary
A year ago I sent my first email to this list as a way to keep up friends and accomplish the New Year’s resolution to write monthly. Hit 11/12 with an Italy trip in the middle so pretty proud of that!
Thanks for hanging around and staying in touch and see the year in selfies on Instagram.
